Echinodorus Palifolius

Echinodorus palifolius, commonly known as the Tropical Sword Plant, is an attractive aquatic plant native to South America. It is popular in aquariums and water gardens for its unique, elongated leaves and its ability to thrive in both submerged and emersed conditions.

The plant features long, lance-shaped leaves with a sword-like appearance, which can grow up to 20 inches or more, depending on the water conditions and available nutrients.

The leaves have a bright green color and can develop a reddish tint when exposed to higher light levels. Echinodorus palifolius produces small, white to pinkish flowers that emerge on a tall flower stalk, adding to its ornamental appeal.
