DESCRIPTION

Gardenia jasminoides, commonly known as gardenia and cape jasmine, is an evergreen flowering plant in the coffee family Rubiaceae. 
It is native to parts of South East Asia. The fragrant flowers often are used for scenting tea, pickled or preserved in honey.
Wild plants range from 30 centimetres to 3 metres in height.

Planting And Care:

Sunlight

  • Direct sunlight.

Soil

  • Moist Soils, Well-Drained Soils

Watering : 

  • Water when soil feels dry to the touch
  • Sparingly as plant is fairly drought tolerant.
  • Do not overwater the plant.

 Fertilizer:

  • Feed with an all purpose fertilizer when tree is below 1.5mOh .
  • Flowering fertilizer can be used once trees begin flowering.
  • Always apply water to the port immediately after the application of fertilizer.

Plant Protection

  • Remove any dead, infected, or damaged parts of the plant and discard them away.
  • For any disease or insect attack, you can use “Neem oil”, Eucalyptus oil, or Citrus oil spray for usual treatment.
